Shallou is a smaller artist on the scene who’s caught my eye with both his remixes and originals. The producer’s taste factors are apparent with his excellent song choice for a remix. It’s a take on El Ten Eleven’s original “Point Breeze” and Shallou does it justice.
OMI’s been rolling out his ME 4 U remix album in the last few weeks, and I just finally had the chance to check out the entire thing. I’ve blogged about the Bergs and Boehm remixes already, but I just had a chance to check out Kungs’ take on “Midnight Serenade,” and he turns the uplifting dance-pop anthem into a midnight dance party for the ages. The original track is simplicity at its finest – smooth guitar melodies, infectiously catchy pop croons, and just the right touch of percussion – but Kungs takes this tune and turns it into a beautiful mix.
This flip goes hard. I’ve had my eyes on Arman Cekin for a minute and he continues to impress me with his slick remixes.
Up and coming artist, Honor, has seen a lot of love for her debut single ‘Never Off’. The powerful and emotional track caught the attention of UK Techno producer Hot Since 82, who decided to put his own twist to the track using a deep Techno melody. Though the only vocals used in the remix are ‘never off’, that’s all you need to become the perfect fit for a hot EDM track. Stay on the lookout for Honor – ‘Never Off (Hot Since 82 Remix)’, which releases on February 4th!
