“One More Time” is a song by French electronic music duo Daft Punk, first released as a single on 13 November 2000 and later included in the 2001 album Discovery. It is a French house song featuring a vocal performance by Romanthony that is heavily Auto-Tuned and compressed. The music video of the song forms part of the 2003 animated film, Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem.
“One More Time” was a moderate commercial success, charting at number 1 on the Syndicat National de l’Edition Phonographique, number 2 on the UK Singles Chart, and is one of the duo’s few charting songs in the United States, reaching number 61 on the Billboard Hot 100.
In addition to commercial success, “One More Time” was also a critical hit. The song has also received multiple accolades. The song is listed at #5 on Pitchfork Media’s top 500 songs of the 2000s. Rolling Stone listed it at #33 of their top 100 songs of the decade (2000–2009) as well as #307 on its amended “The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time” list in May 2010. It was voted by Mixmag readers as the greatest dance record of all time. Also, “One More Time” was ranked at number 11 on the prestigious The Village Voice’s Pazz & Jop annual year-end critics’ poll.
