PROBLEMS THAT SHOULD BE FOLLOWED ON YOUR CF MOTO 450 / 520 – HACK DIY

Because you already know that I’m riding a good ATV CF MOTO 520 L model 2020 and every time I want to take out the maximum performance from this engine I’m glad to present some little problems that can be presented on your ATV.

1st issue and the most common: BREAKING BEARING REPLACEMENT for CVT BELT

Symptomatic issue:

→ ATV is presenting some cracking sounds from the cvt case and belt

→ ATV is running when idle even if you put on Neutral

ISSUE #2 – POWER STARTING RELAY

This Starter Relay / Starter Solenoid applies to ATV from 250cc to 600cc electric start engines. This relay operates in the same way as other non-fuse based relays, and using a 20A in-line fuse is one of the best ways to provide additional circuit protection. Bolt studs are 2 cm apart centre to centre.

Most commonly used for (but not limited to) CF Moto 450 or CF Moto 500cc and CF Moto 600cc ATVs or UTV (4×4/2×4 and similar variations).

The issue with this one is that because of the sand, dirty or water it goes also to oxidate and can also burn your fuse or entire body of this relay.

Symptomatic issue:

→ ATV is starting very bad or not starting, and you can hear a click or buzzing sound from his area

→ ATV is melting your fuse from front box

→ ATV Voltage is bellow 14V and is not stable at all

→ In the worst case is possible to lose all the electrical dashboard clock and engine runing

ISSUE #3 – ELECTRIC POWER STEERING NOISE

Symptomatic issue:

→ ATV steering when is used is cracking and produce a lot of metallic sounds

ISSUE #4 – EXHAUST PROTECTION CRACKING SOUND

The solution is to take out the protections that are not fixed well and protect with some special tape with a temperature resistance .

Symptomatic issue:

→ ATV on idle or when is running is having a lot of cracking or metallic sounds

ISSUE #5 – PLASTIC INTAKE of CVT or AIR FILTER is melting by TEMPERATURE from exhaust

The solution is to put some aluminium band on all the plastic intake and out of CVT and also on the air filter box.

Symptomatic issue:

→ ATV is running when idle even if you put on Neutral [GENERATED problem #1] due to dirty or water comed inside of the CVT box

→ ATV is getting water inside of air filter box
