“Cruel Summer” is a take on the classic Bananarama track which was huge in the 80’s. And it just happens to be one of my favorite pop hits from that era. It can be tricky to re-work an iconic song, but HRDY definitley pulls it off by re-building the layers from scratch and teaming up with the vocalist, Malvina.
The Vancouver/San Francisco due, BLU J, is making a name for themselves in the realms of club and dance music. Their new song “Light” was just dropped on Zed’s Dead’s new DeadBeats label (which looks quite promising). The house groove is on point and tasteful vocals by Nevve are the perfect compliment.
This collab track named, Got to Be There, features a ton of pop style sound designs and an easy to follow song structure that allows the listener to kick back and enjoy the vibes flowing from their headphones.
The highlight of the track really lays withing the breakdowns that include super ambient and vibrant pluck synths, spacey pads, and of course the perfect dose of melodically in-tune lyrics that compliment the entire mixdown and master.
David Guetta’s newest track Light My Body Up featuring Nikki Minaj & Lil Wayne has been remixed by German electro-house music producer, Tujamo.
This tune will surely hit the nightclubs across the states and rock the bodies of everyone.
Carry Me Away, featuring Game Chasers, is JES’s brand new dance track and I am here for it. From the soulful vocals JES is known for, to the saxophone instrumentals and the danceable uptempo beats, “Carry Me Away” is begging to be played at this year’s biggest festivals.
The song is a collaboration with the Game Chasers, who teamed up with JES on “Hold On”, a Grammy-nominated single. The joint effort resulted in such a great tune that Markus Schulz immediately requested to remix it into his own trance anthem.
“First Time” is Kygo’s follow up single to “It Ain’t Me” which was voiced by Selena Gomez. The anthem went to the Top 10 in more than a dozen countries and is currently sitting at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Back in 2013, Kygo remixed Ellie Goulding’s “High For This.” The song was wildly successful and now just four years later, Kygo has decided to officially collaborate with the pop sensation with Ellie Goulding for their new single, “First Time.”
